First Step

Although I have started late on my journey to complete my comprehensive exam, I feel that I will do a good job. I needed the time I took off in the month of August to deal with the loss of my Big Brother Ronnie and to spend time connecting with my family. It was time well spent. However, this week I have started the process and I need to have much done before I head to LA on September 21. Today is September 1, 2007. I may not reach my goal but I will be very prepared when I attend the workshops later this month. The first thing I did as preparation was to review a TI session that we had with Farzin where he gave us a roadmap to be successful on our comps. Reviewing this was very helpful because it gave me an idea of what I need to build.

I also spent some time today reviewing his remarks on my leadership challenge paper and reviewing my syallbus for the leadership. I am certain that whatever scenario that I creat leadership will be a central theme. I also reviewed his course syllabus and now I am in the process of gathering all of the materials for that course. This should be a very worthwhile excercise. I would like to have my scenario figured out and an outline written, and 20+ pages written before I head to LA.

Once I have reviewed all of the courses and materials briefly, I will look at an example comps paper as well as review the google group for ideas and reflection. Once I have gone through all of my notes and refamiliarized myself with what content was covered in each course. I will take a week or so to create my scenario. My last week I intend to spend writing.

At this point, I do not have any idea of what my scenario will be.

Warmest Regards,
Kai
